Squat

The squat is a very good compound exercise that works the primary muscle groups in the lower body. With proper form, squats will target ones quadriceps, hamstrings, glutes (sexy behind muscles), calves and your backing core muscles. The squat is a horrible exercise and keeping proper form is really important. Keep your chest up and show forwards. The bar should be placed on your traps. Make sure your weight is onto your mid-foot to your heels. You want to hinge your hips back and sit back as you're bringing this weight down. The higher you will need to step up the harder the exercise is going to be. If you want for making it even more challenging, grab a pair involving dumbbells.
