Does it matter which HDMI port you plug your switch into?

HDMI 1 is 4k @ 60hz MHL (DC 5V 900ma)
HDMI 2 is 4k at 60hz ARC
HDMI 3 is 4k at 30hz
HDMI 4 is 4k at 30hz

The reason I ask is because my ps4 pro gave me a message saying it couldn't do 4k, in HDMI 3, but it works in HDMI 2 for some reason?

I have the switch on HDMI 3, but it says 30 hz, does that mean my games don't go up to 60 fps? or is that only for 4k (and therfore does not matter on switch?)

Thanks!

HDMI 1 & 2 would be the best bet.

Unless you have a soundbar. Then don't use HDMI 2 on your TV. ARC is for audio passthru.

Well that's really odd. Why wouldn't they just use all higher quality ports? Making them all different just seems silly.

Cost and performance is an issue. TV manufacturers already have to pay licensing fees for every HDMI port on the specific TV. This is why you see huge cheap TV's that mysteriously come with a low amount of HDMI ports (2-3)
