Can you recommend a good electric blanket?

I bought a Queen sized two controller blanket from Bed Bath and Beyond (no idea of the brand) - but I didn't care for the two controllers - it seemed that I needed to heat both sides of the blanket even though I didn't sleep in the middle of the bed (I have 2 cats - I tend to get a tiny slice of the bed ) The heat also seemed erratic - some times it was uncomfortably warm and other times it would shut off before the timer timed out.

I bought a Berkshire "wicked good" electric blanket from LLBean in the fall of 2021. I did NOT want two controllers so I bought a blanket that doesn't match the size of my bed (I think it's a twin size blanket). It seems to be working fine. I'm warm on my slice of bed and the cats are happy too. My only complaint is that it "slithers" down off the foot of the bed during the night. This phenomenon was mentioned in the reviews (and I was skeptical of it... but it's real.) I just re-do the bedding every morning. I'm sleeping with a top sheet, the electric blanket, and then another very heavy top sheet over the blanket (to help protect it from the cats - the puke problem was an ailment that has been resolved). After 4 months of having the "wicked good" blanket on my bed (not turned on every night) I can say that I like it and even if it attempts to slither off the bed it was still a good choice. I do have some "cat traps " on the bed - a towel at the foot of the bed that the cats will choose to sleep on (because -- who knows they are cats.) the cats will also choose to sleep on a pillow at the head of the bed. My cats have claws - but are elderly so they don't tend to "play" on the bed (no claw snags). I would strongly consider safety if you have pets joining you in bed with the heated blanket. The blankets are generally NOT considered pet safe.

When I was researching/looking for a heated blanket - it seems they are "disposable" and to expect to get 2 or 3 years of service. The LLBean blanket had the best reviews (with actual info about the blanket and by people who had used the blanket and have actual opinions about what they wanted and needed an electric blanket to do...)

I had a Biddeford full sized (on my Queen bed) from Aldi - and it gave me 5 years of good service. But then a Cat threw up on the bed and got the electric blanket... I didn't feel confident washing the electric blanket so I opted for a new one.I bought a Queen sized two controller blanket from Bed Bath and Beyond (no idea of the brand) - but I didn't care for the two controllers - it seemed that I needed to heat both sides of the blanket even though I didn't sleep in the middle of the bed (I have 2 cats - I tend to get a tiny slice of the bed) The heat also seemed erratic - some times it was uncomfortably warm and other times it would shut off before the timer timed out.I bought a Berkshire "wicked good" electric blanket from LLBean in the fall of 2021.
