I know I should get some kind of dust collection system for my workshop, but I'm an amateur hobbyist who only really works down there maybe one weekend a month, so I'm not sure how useful these big systems would be.
As I understand it, most of these systems are like vacuums with different hoses that attach to whatever power tool you're using, correct? I really just use a miter saw and an orbital sander; sometimes a jigsaw. The first two have different-sized attachments for hoses and the jigsaw has none.
Is there a different option that just like....draws the dust out of the air all the time, rather than attaching to whatever tool I'm using? Or am I misunderstanding how these things work? Any help/advice would be appreciated.
