SYNOPSIS
Here we are fabricating a portable pneumatic grinding machine. This machine has been mainly developed for grinding the work piece to get a good surface finish. In this machine we are using the pneumatic rotor for rotating of the grinding wheel. The purpose making this machine as a portable one is to grind large work piece without moving it with a short period of time. The Pneumatic rotor is air operated device. This equipment is efficient compared to other, so good finishing is obtained by using this machine.
WORKING PRINCIPLE
This project is very simple in its construction. The major components required are pneumatic rotor, grinding wheel and inlet tube for air. The pneumatic rotor chuck is clamped with the grinding wheel. The ON/OFF of the pneumatic rotor will by controlled by the button present in it. As the grinding wheel is clamped in the chuck, the grinding wheel also rotates as air supply is given to pneumatic rotor. Then the grinding operation can be performed on the work piece and also the grinding machine can be moved to the other places, as it is handy in construction.
