The alloy Monel is a Nickel-Copper alloy that is developed by the International Nickel Company.
This alloy has got a high corrosion resistance and because of that, the mechanical properties will be not affected by high temperatures (up to 480°C).
Monel isn’t magnetic and has good workability in hot and cold condition.
Because of these properties, Monel can be found in applications as piping in seawater, offshore, shipping and in chemical equipment where acids are used.
Monel is available in several alloys with each its specific characteristics.
