Conference Room Monitors

The Sadowsky Conference Room, located on the fourth floor at Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital, recently underwent renovations to improve the audio/visual systems in the room.

“We removed all of the old audio/visual technology to make room for a state-of-the-art system,” says Ed Pitts, Executive Director of Facilities and Support Services at BWFH. “With this new system, meeting leaders will truly be able to run an effective meeting.”

The most visually impactful change to the room is the new monitors. The existing LCD projector and screen at the far end of the room were replaced with a 98” Samsung display mounted to the wall. On the side wall opposite the windows, two 65” monitors were installed. All of the new monitors can display content from PowerPoint presentations and video conferences as well as Air Media and cable TV.

A wireless keyboard and mouse are located in the room, as well as guest laptop connection points at the front and back of the table. Crestron Air media allows the user to connect and share wirelessly. On the table, meeting participants will also notice new Shure table microphones that provide audio from all participants to callers during audio and video conferences.

Other audio improvements include high performance speakers that provide playback of program and speech audio as well as a hearing assisted system that mixes program and speech audio to a local headset for participants who require hearing assistance.

“These improvements will have a big impact for both meeting leaders and participants,” says Pitts. “Our goal was to make the system easy to use and give meeting leaders the chance to share their content in a way that will engage participants.”
