Rockslide causes road closure near Dinosaur National Monument

JENSEN, Utah (ABC4 News) – A rockslide forced the closure of a road near Dinosaur National Monument. 

National Park Service officials said the slide at the Plug Hat Butte area closed Harpers Corner Road between monument headquarters near Dinosaur, Colo. and Moffat County Road 16.

The rockslide, however, does not affect access to Dinosaur Quarry area on the Utah side of Dinosaur National Monument officials said.

Park officials did not have an estimate on a reopening time.
