The natural secondary forest of Pinus tabulaeformis distributed in Mount Tai covers an area of about 700 mu, which is a typical representative of natural coniferous forests in the warm temperate zone of China. There are many individual trees and communities of Pinus tabulaeformis. Most of the orientalis forests are natural secondary forests or artificial forests, among which there are more than 10,000 ancient trees with an age of more than 300 years. There is also a large area of deciduous broad-leaved forest dominated by oaks, which is a typical representative of warm temperate deciduous broad-leaved forest and has high protection value. There are also many terrestrial arthropods, including Arachnida, Insecta, and Myriapoda. A total of 13 orders and 150 families of insects have been recorded, making it one of the areas with the most abundant forest insect resources in Shandong Province. About 900 species have been identified. There are 22 species of fish, belonging to 12 families such as Cyprinidae, Loachidae, Catfish, and Silverfish.
