The hex head is the most common of the dome nuts. There are different sizes such as the M6 Dome Nut  and others. The dome nuts can also be used as lock nuts as they have extra grip. To achieve this purpose, some nuts are Nyloc Dome Nut which has nylon embedded in the internal threads. The threads are tightened with the nylon while installation and the expanded nylon holds the Stainless Steel Cap Nuts in place.
