The Bad Bunny and Adidas partnership is only getting better

01 Jul.,2023

Since March 2021, Puerto Rican musician Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, better-known by his stage name Bad Bunny, has been producing footwear with Adidas. The 27-year-old reggaeton star and Adidas announced early last year that they would embark on “a long-term partnership that will see us work on a number of collaborative projects and product drops over the coming seasons.”

To date the partnership has comprised a single silhouette, the Adidas Forum Low. Characterised by a buckle-laces crossover and chunky construction, the sneakers have also been reworked by Adidas partners Beyoncé and Kerwin Frost.

So far Bad Bunny and the German brand have served a pair of deliciously palatable beige, off-white and brown “First Café”, coffee-inspired Adidas Forum Buckle Lows, as well as a baby pink “Easter Egg” iteration of the shoes. Following those releases, in August 2021 Bunny dropped the Forum "Back To School", which was a chunky all-black-everything design.

Each sneaker release has been a huge success. The kicks sold out instantly upon their release, and Bunny hasn't just won over hypebeasts, but he's also impressed the likes of self-confessed sneakerhead Bella Hadid, who proudly owns a pair.

The Grammy award winner has teased an upcoming pair of sneakers, which had never seen the light of day before now. Photographed at the unveiling of his wax figure (yep, still a thing) at Madame Tussauds in New York City, Bunny sported a fisherman's bucket hat, tailored tracksuit bottoms and an oversized, checked shirt. On his feet were a pair of the Adidas Forum Lows in an easy-on-the-eye pale blue colourway.

While the sneakers haven't been given a release date as yet, you can more than guarantee that the sneakers sit within the ongoing partnership between Adidas and Bunny. Decorated with sky blue suede accents on the upper and featuring the signature Forum buckle in Arctic blue, the Three-Striped silhouette makes for an ideal pair of summer sneaks.

Expect them to retail at £130, as with the previous Bad Bunny x Adidas styles.
