Our celebration of National Tile Day and countdown to Coverings 2022 continues into its second week with another 2022 tile trend. And this week’s trend is sure to impress with its striking designs and equally striking size.
That’s right, it’s floor-to-ceiling marble looks.
Defined by a sense of movement and grandeur, these tiles are full of exuberance, particularly when produced on floor-to-ceiling gauged porcelain slabs. What’s more, many manufacturers are producing dramatic marble looks with striking colors and heavy veining.

There’s something classic about white marble-look tile, which is why we see it more often than just about any other tile design (except maybe subway tile, but don’t ask us to choose favorites! The brightening and uplifting effects of white marble-look tile are magnified by the sheer size of these floor-to-ceiling panels.
Note: The two photos above show the difference veining can make. In the first photo, thick but sparse gray veining creates a clean, cool look. In the second, more dispersed veining in a honey-bronze tone warms up the tile.
