                 On March 17,2024,the 15th China Industry University Research Cooperation Innovation Conference,hosted by the China Association for the Promotion of Industry University Research Cooperation,was grandly held in Beijing.More than a thousand representatives from the frontline of the industry university research community across the country attended the conference.The conference,with the theme of"Industry University Research Focus:New Energy,New Models,and New Industries",explores how to implement the strategy of revitalizing the country through science and education,strengthening the country through talent,and driving development through innovation through collaborative innovation between industry,university,and research.It aims to win the battle against key core technologies,develop new quality productive forces,support and lead the construction of a modern industrial system,accelerate the realization of high-level technological self-reliance and self-improvement,and promote high-quality development of the country.

                 Wan Gang,Vice Chairman of the 13th CPPCC National Committee and Chairman of the Chinese Association for Science and Technology,Han Qide,Vice Chairman of the 12th CPPCC National Committee and academician of the CAS Member,Gu Shengji,Vice Chairman of the 13th CPPCC National Committee,and more than 1000 representatives from all walks of life including the Ministry of Education,the Ministry of Science and Technology,the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology,the China National Intellectual Property Administration,the National Natural Fund Commission,the Chinese Academy of Sciences,the Chinese Academy of Engineering,the Chinese Association for Science and Technology,the All China Federation of Industry and Commerce attended the conference.

                 At this grand event,Hebei Meishen Technology Co.,Ltd.was awarded the"2023 China Industry University Research Cooperation Promotion Association Industry University Research Cooperation Innovation Demonstration Enterprise Award".Sun Wen,Chairman of Hebei Meishen Technology Co.,Ltd.,Bai Xuemei,R&D Director,and Ma Haixin,Marketing Manager of the company,attended the conference and received awards.This is the first time that Hebei Meishen Technology Co.,Ltd.has been awarded the"China Industry University Research Cooperation Promotion Association Industry University Research Cooperation Innovation Demonstration Enterprise Award".

                 The China Association for the Promotion of Industry University Research Cooperation is a national social organization approved by the State Council and co founded by the National Development and Reform Commission,the Ministry of Education,the Ministry of Science and Technology,the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology,the State owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council,the China Association for Science and Technology,the Chinese Academy of Sciences,the Chinese Academy of Engineering,the All China Federation of Trade Unions,the National Development Bank and other relevant departments,as well as the industry,education,science and technology,finance,academia and other relevant units.It is a high-level collaborative innovation platform that deeply integrates industry,academia,research,and commercial media across departments,regions,industries,and disciplines.

Lu Yongxiang,former Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress,President of the Second Council of the China Association for the Promotion of Industry University Research Cooperation,and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Sciences,delivered a written speech.He said that industry university research cooperation is an important way to base on China's national conditions,leverage the advantages of the new national system,develop new quality productive forces,achieve high-level technological self-reliance and self-improvement,and promote high-quality development.In the face of a new round of scientific and technological revolution and industrial transformation,he hoped that the industry,university and research community would seize the opportunity,increase the collaborative innovation of industry,university and research,cultivate and expand emerging industries,advance the layout and construction of future industries,improve the modern industrial system,and make new contributions to China's realization of high-level scientific and technological self-reliance and high-quality development and Chinese path to modernization.

                 Wan Gang,chairman of the China Association for Science and Technology,said in his speech that developing new quality productive forces,strengthening innovative policy sources,and promoting Chinese path to modernization have become a major and urgent task facing all sectors of industry,university,and research in modern times and in the future for a long time.Wan Gang pointed out that all sectors of industry,academia,and research should bravely become discoverers of scientific laws,creators of technological inventions,pioneers of entrepreneurship and innovation,and practitioners of innovative concepts.Fully leverage the advantages of various innovative entities in industry,academia,and research,focus on strategic direction,cutting-edge orientation,and market-oriented basic research fields,strengthen the innovation source capacity of original and disruptive technologies,build a long-term and stable support mechanism,drive industrial layout through research and development layout,and reshape the industrial technology system through scientific and technological innovation achievements.

                 Vice Minister of Education Sun Yao delivered a speech on the opportunities and challenges of talent cultivation in universities in the era of artificial intelligence,as well as deep cooperation between universities and enterprises.He said that industry university research cooperation is an important way to promote technological innovation.More university secretaries and presidents should lead teams into enterprises,strengthen innovation cooperation with entrepreneurs,chairmen,and general managers,and allow more enterprise chairmen and general managers to lead teams into schools and even university laboratories to experience,visit,and understand.He emphasized that enterprises are application scenarios and places of talent demand.It is necessary to promote deep level cooperation between universities and enterprises,especially communication and cooperation among key leaders,to create a good atmosphere and create an innovative ecosystem of deep integration of industry,academia,and research.

                 Xu Xiaolan,Deputy Minister of Industry and Information Technology,introduced the positive progress made by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology in promoting the deep integration of scientific and technological innovation and industrial innovation,developing high-tech,achieving industrialization,accelerating the formation of new productive forces,from three aspects:system construction,enterprise cultivation,and achievement transformation.She stated that the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will focus on continuously improving the policy system for industrial scientific and technological innovation,strengthening the capacity and system construction of industrial scientific and technological innovation,strengthening collaborative innovation between upstream and downstream of the industrial chain,innovating the mechanism of industry university research cooperation,vigorously developing the science and technology service industry,researching and formulating implementation opinions to promote high-quality development of science and technology services,promoting industry university research cooperation and innovation at a deeper and broader level,strengthening inter ministerial collaboration and inter provincial linkage,and strengthening exchanges with social organizations such as the China Association for the Promotion of Industry University Research Cooperation,in order to accelerate the formation of new productive forces and achieve new industrialization.

                 Lu Pengqi,Deputy Director of the China National Intellectual Property Administration,pointed out that intellectual property,as a basic system for protecting or encouraging innovation,not only empowers innovation,but also empowers innovation.It is an important link for industry university research cooperation and innovation,and an important support for cultivating and developing new quality productivity.He emphasized that industry university research cooperation is an important way to enhance the efficiency of scientific and technological innovation and promote patent transformation and application;The special action on patent transformation and utilization,deployment,sorting and revitalization of existing patents in universities and colleges,promoting the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises through patent industrialization,promoting the strengthening and efficiency enhancement of intellectual property chains in key industries,and cultivating and promoting patent intensive products are four key tasks.This is closely related to industry university research cooperation.We should further promote industry university research cooperation to revitalize existing patents and accelerate industrialization,optimize increment and improve patent quality,further promote industry university research cooperation to jointly build a number of innovative consortia,cultivate and deepen a number of patent industrialization model enterprises,further promote industry university research cooperation to jointly tackle a number of key core technologies,layout the patent chain in the industrial chain,and promote the independent and controllable,safe and reliable industrial system.

                 At the meeting,Sun Qixin,academician of the CAE Member,president of China Agricultural University,Wang Shuguo,president of Xi'an Jiaotong University,Song Zhiping,president of China Association of Listed Companies,former party secretary and chairman of China Building Materials Group,Duan Rong,chief financial data scientist of Huawei Group,and other representatives of the industry,university and research sector made wonderful speeches,providing new ideas for the in-depth integration of industry,university and research.

                 The conference solemnly commended the exemplary organization and individuals who made contributions to the in-depth integration of industry,university and research in 2023,released a number of new pilot units of industry,university and research cooperation innovation,and supported the establishment of a number of collaborative innovation platforms that closely integrate industry,university,research and use.

                 The China Industry University Research Cooperation Innovation and Promotion Award is established with the support of the Ministry of Science and Technology and the National Science and Technology Awards Office,and is the highest honor award in the Chinese industry university research community.The award has five sub awards,including"Outstanding Contribution Award for Industry University Research Cooperation","Innovation Award for Industry University Research Cooperation","Promotion Award for Industry University Research Cooperation","Craftsman Spirit Award for Industry University Research Cooperation",and"Innovation Achievement Award for Industry University Research Cooperation",to commend advanced models,such as exemplary organization and individuals,who have made outstanding contributions in promoting the in-depth integration of government,industry,university and research funding,guide various innovation subjects to establish correct values,strengthen social responsibility,and create a healthy innovation ecology.
