Magnesium oxide, commonly known as bitter earth or magnesium oxide,is an alkaline oxide with the properties of alkaline oxide and belongs to the category of cementitious materials.

Conventional Hemorrhoidectomy and Anastomotic Hemorrhoidectomy, commonly known as bitter earth or magnesium oxide,is an alkaline oxide with the properties of alkaline oxide and belongs to the category of cementitious materials.White or light yellow powder,odorless,non-toxic,is a typical alkaline earth metal oxide with the chemical formula MgO.White powder, melting point 2852℃,boiling point 3600℃,relative density 3.58(25℃).Soluble in acid and ammonium salt solutions.Exposed to the air,it is easy to absorb water and carbon dioxide, gradually becoming basic magnesium carbonate.Light products are faster than heavy products, and combine with water to form magnesium hydroxide under certain conditions, exhibiting a slightly alkaline reaction. The pH of a saturated aqueous solution is 10.3.Soluble in acids and ammonium salts but insoluble in water, its solution is alkaline.

What are the properties of magnesium oxide

Insoluble in ethanol.Strong refractive index in the visible and near-ultraviolet range.Magnesite(MgCO3),dolomite(MgCO3·CaCO3),and seawater are the main raw materials for producing magnesium oxide.Thermal decomposition of magnesite or dolomite to obtain magnesium oxide.Treating seawater with hydrated lime to obtain magnesium hydroxide precipitation, and calcining magnesium hydroxide to obtain magnesium oxide.Alternatively, magnesium chloride brine blocks obtained from the comprehensive utilization of seawater or brine extracted from bromine can be used as raw materials.Sodium hydroxide or sodium carbonate can be added to form magnesium hydroxide or basic magnesium carbonate precipitates, which are then burned to obtain magnesium oxide.

China mainly uses magnesite, dolomite, brine or brine blocks as raw materials.Magnesium oxide has high fire resistance and insulation properties. After being burned at high temperatures above 1000℃,it can be transformed into crystals. When it reaches above 1500℃,it becomes dead burned magnesium oxide(also known as magnesia sand)or sintered magnesium oxide.
